I want to be so BIG!

Well I am officially the worst blogger ever. I was in the running before Marlee came along, but now..I win. She is sleeping longer than 30mins today, by some miracle so I have time to do something extra. I can't really complain, she is sleeping about 6-8hrs at night, but just little cat naps all day. She is doing so many new things. She giggles and smiles and jibber-jabbers all the time, she is grabbing and eating her toys, just yesterday she rolled from her tummy to her back 3 times in a row all by herself! And she wants to sit up so bad...I'm sure it won't be long. She just wants to grow up too fast! It's so much fun to watch her grow and learn new things, we just love it. We could just watch her and laugh with her all day.

Yaaaay! Bath Time!!! This is Marlee and Dad's favorite time of day, they get this time all to themselves. It's the perfect time when Dave gets off work and wants to spend some time with her and I usually could use a break.

Blessing Day

This is our sweet Marlee on her big day. It was such a neat day. We had so many family and friends there to share it with and to give their support. Her Dad gave her such a special blessing, he did such an amazing job. And Marlee did so good too...she held out until the very end of the blessing to start crying...and she didn't even poop all over her pretty dress! I had a good talk with her before the big day and begged her to behave! She obeys so well already...It was just a perfect day we will always remember.

Grandma Hardman made Marlee's beautiful dress. It was so perfect. And this is Grandpa Hardman's special little ring that was given to him as a baby. All the Hardman grandkids have been blessed with this ring on.

I post this picture reluctantly...It's the first showing of the new haircut and a horrible picture. I'll work on a better one.. Pictures of me are few these days for good reason.
We took a drive up to the Uinta's last week. The fall colors were so bright and beautiful. My picture doesn't do it justice (I tried to get the picture while we were driving). These mountains are only 30 mins from our house, we definitely don't take advantage of this as often as we should. One of our many dreams...to have a cabin up there.
The boys went for a trail run while us girls ate snacks, gathered up treasures and wrote all our names with sticks. And Marlee slept in the truck the whole time....she misses out on all these fun things!

Had to add some pictures of little Mini, of course. It's funny how when a baby arrives I suddenly become picture happy...every new outfit, new bow, new sleeping position...EVERYthing is just so CUTE! This is a picture of her first pair of 'GUESS' jeans! Isn't her GUESS bumb cute...

Evanston's Annual White Trash Event

The Demolition Derby in Evanston is a popular event....people come out of the wood works for this one! It was fun. Cold, but fun. Marlee slept through the WHOLE thing. Funny how the more noise there is the better these little babies sleep. It was SO loud though, I'm wondering if we injured her ears for life. Look what great parents we are right from the start!

These are Marlee's newborn pictures. 3 weeks old.

So I've been meaning to update the blog for about 2 weeks now....how do you moms find TIME?? Let's see, do I shower or blog? Do I cook dinner or blog? Do I go to the grocery store or blog? Because there definitely is NOT time for both! ....Parenthood is getting better and better each day. I'm learning to do everything with only one hand, clean the house during the 2 hr nap (hopefully), shower really fast, adhere to absolutely NO schedule, and survive on little to no sleep! I think Marlee likes her parents more and more each day too. Dave and I have developed an all new respect for all you parents. It's probably the hardest things we have done. But it is the most rewarding, for sure. This little Mini is changing soooo much soooo fast! She is already a 10 pounder (5lbs in each cheek) and at least 3 inches longer. WOW! You weren't kidding when you say they change each day. She is smiling lots, cooing and almost laughing! She is the new little love of our lives. These are just a few pictures from a couple weeks ago, I'll put more on soon... and you'll see the cheeks I'm talking about!

Baby Marlee has arrived....

I'm trying so hard to stay awake so my mom and dad can sleep tonight!

I really love to hold my mommy and daddy's fingers

And I really love to eat my fingers!

My first big day out to the doctor's office. I hate this carseat and this headband! But I think I like this new binki thing.

These people torture me..take my clothes off, put them back on...just to try to keep me awake

We sure love our new little Marlee. She is named after both her Grandma's (Margaret and Lora Lee). She was born Aug. 6th, weighed 6Lbs 8oz, 19in long. So far, she appears to be a spitting image of her dad, which is ok by me. We love all her dark hair and her olive(with a little jaundice) skin. She is eating good and growing good. We feel very blessed. All is well, we are loving our new experience of parenthood. She is such a special miracle.

Love to....

Sleep....
Sleep....
Sleep. All the DAY long.

39 weeks pregnant or not.....

We took one last venture to Bear Lake a couple weeks ago before the big day. It was so nice, we love and have missed the water this year. We took Dave's nephews, and Jarrod and Rach and their kids came.

The kids loved this... getting towed around on a floatie.

These two hot bods went for a run along the beach. Crazy? Thought they would do some exercise for us all I guess, since their pregnant wives were stuck sitting in the chairs on the beach! Don't worry, no pictures of the pregnant wives hot bods!

Boys will always be boys....playing with the little kids' water guns!

Make - shift - pool - time

There are definitely some things Evanston is lacking, one being an outdoor pool. I guess no one understands the importance of having a pool as I do. Even though it would probably only be open a total of 2 months out of the year, it would still be worth it if you ask me.
Thank goodness Evanston does not lack a Walmart. Since we sold the boat, we've been dying to get in some water...well...we, meaning Dave and I. I don't think Maggie was as excited about this pool as we were! She has her own little pool, I think this one was either too deep or she just didn't like to share with us. She was pretty skeptical about it. She tip-toed around for a few minutes, then bailed.

Scuba ATTACK!
The wimpy dog thinks she is REAL big and TOUGH.

Good Fun, Good Food and Good Peeps

This is the baby girl shower back in the hometown. Good friends and family.
The food was amazing...look how pretty! Thanks to my sister's for all their hard work.
It was so good to see all the good ol' friends from the 5th floor. Thanks Jenny for letting us invade your pretty house...you're the best.
This is the quilt that goes with the crib bedding. My mom and her great sewing talent and great ideas made it even better..it's so cute!
Thanks mom for all you did, you are one of a kind.
Look at those cheeks on little Paisley...I hope baby Huggins has some of those!

The pregnant pictures were pretty fun. I was a little skeptical at first, but they'll be fun to have. I had to drag Dave there by tooth and nail, but now he says they are cute and he's glad we did them. My friend did them. She has recently started a photography business and she does a great job if anyone needs a photographer for anything... her website is: nicolegilliesphotography.com
Thanks again Nicole! We had fun!
I know I'm a serious slacker...I've been in trouble by lots of you lately! Sorry, I have been busy nesting, trying to breath, trying to be productive in between the hourly bathroom trips, and trying not to make my husband crazy! Pregnancy is a wonderful thing. I promise to keep up better, especially when baby girl comes. We are very excited and very nervous. I think the house is pretty much ready, as for us...I'm not really sure! All is well. I'm still working away, hoping I can just go into labor while I'm at work, that would sure be convenient and less traumatic for Dave! I have a few more pics to post, then it will be baby time...

Trip to Logan

On May 30th, we went to Logan for a little overnight trip. We walked around campus...took a stroll down memory lane! It was fun. This is the view from the back side of campus. We were actually lucky enough to be sealed in the Logan Temple this weekend. We finally made it back to where we started.

This is where Dave and I met.. In geology class, almost 11 years ago. Crazy to think back that far. Dave asked me out after we met in an early morning lab up Logan Canyon. I did nothing but tease him all morning, I'm surprised he still asked me out. Really, I was just nervous cuz he was so cute! I'm sure glad he did though...I wouldn't have passed the class with out him! Of course, I'm glad for other obvious reasons too....!

The famous Aggie "A".

The 1st baby shower!!!

May 2nd, 2009
Dave's mom (in the middle) and his two Aunt's threw a great shower for us. Lots of good food and LOTS of great presents! Thanks mostly to Aunt Beth.. she can make just about anything, and she did for baby girl Huggins.

Ooh yay...a nursing cover...can't wait to use this! Love it, but very scared to use it! What have I gotten myself in to???

Just one of Aunt Gail's famous cakes.... for the baby girl already! wait until you see her birthday cakes!

The sister's and Mom came up for the event.. they are the greatest! Thanks so much for coming girls.

Dave decorated the house for my birthday, which was the day after the shower. He's cute huh! It's not every husband that will put up streamers and balloon's for the wife's birthday!
Thanks love :)
