Dave - hard at work

I laughed so hard when I walked downstairs to find this. As most of you know, Dave runs his business out of our home. Well, he has to have three screens for the work he does. However, today he was busy using the three screens to play Halo Live, Work, and Shop online all at once! Sometimes he's quite the little computer nerd!

Ruth Lake

Mom and fat kid.

We took a little hike in the Uinta's. It's so pretty up there. We were trying really hard to get a family photo but Maggie would not cooperate! She was way too excited to check everything out.
Another failed attempt..see Maggie's butt next to Dave??

Gotta give it to the fat dog for making the hike! She kept right up.

There was a thin layer of ice around the sides of the lake. Maggie walked on it for a minute, until she fell in!

My BIGGEST accomplishment yet...

My so called friends, Joni and Jamie, talked me into running a 1/2 marathon with them this fall. Funny thing is, they told me only ONE month before the race. Before now, I had never ran more than 3 miles at a time, so if you can imagine, a little more than a month to train could have been ideal. I never, EVER thought I would do this. Running is strictly for a healthy heart, not for fun! Surprisingly I did make it through the race. Nearly killed me, but I made it. I actually enjoyed it (just a little) and I just might do another... I think the part I liked best was the pig-out breakfast at Magleby's after!
They are lucky I'm still their friend.....

Good husband to get up early and come watch me finish

ONE YEAR DOWN!

It was our 1st anniversary this August. We took a little weekend trip to Jackson. It was so so pretty. We went on a great mountain bike trail(which nearly killed me), ate some good food and shopped! Way fun.

Thanks for the best year of my life so far babe. Love you!

Hebgen Lake, MT

Cliff and Betsy took us to their family cabin this summer on Hebgen Lake, MT. The cabin was amazing. It was like a family history museum! It's been in Betsy's family since the early 1900's when her grandpa built it...so cool. It was a perfect, relaxing get-away. It was gorgeous...and so much fun! Thanks so much guys!

Echo

It's like pullin' teeth to get Jarrod and Rach out on the boat, but we got 'em! Rach surfed for the very FIRST time.. she got up and did really good..and she's one HOT mamma! Dave tried to take Ellie (a.k.a. Daredevil), she was scared to death when she was out there. But when she was done, she thought it was pretty cool!

This little one can't get enough hot dogs!

He makes it look so easy

This summer at Bear Lake

LOOK...NO ROPE! Yay Jam!

Look at those blue eyes...

Little Jay was wiped out. She had held that flag for us as long as she possibly could, until she fell asleep!

Jaylee loves to surf with Dad, just like her big brother

And Dalton will surf with anybody who is willing to take him! He went with Dad and Kallas.

Fishing at the Res

This summer my sister and her kids came to visit us..to see the wonderful sites of Evanston. We took them fishing at Dave's Grandpa Johnson's resevoir in Randolph.
Noah was the ONLY one who caught a fish! We didn't make it out there as early as planned, so not many bites.

Cutest little red-heads ever.

Vegas Baby!!!

This is the kind of fun we have in Vegas when your 28yrs old, a wife and mother!

Me, Jen, Jamie, and Rach, yes even Rach came! We took a girls trip to Vegas. Rach definitely needed the trip more than the rest of us, since he hasn't left her girls to go on a trip EVER! She's such a good mom, but we stole her for a few days. Jamie had to recover (sleep, sleep, sleep) from one of the many boyfriends, too many late nights and early morning work days. Then there's Jen and me, well...we didn't really need it so much as just wanted to have some fun with the girls!

Fun at TJMAXX!! Wow, watch OUT, We are trouble in Vegas! So much trouble in fact, that we were hangin' at TJmaxx! Rach hadn't bought a new purse since she had her kids (almost 4 years), so we took her to the best place for a new purse! Then we really hit the town....or not. But we did do some serious shopping and relaxin' poolside. We did actually go to Phantom of the Opera too, which was amazing, but nobody has sent me the picture...

Birthdays in May

Jen and Jamie made me this beautiful cake...It's a ritz cracker, just in case you couldn't tell... And if you if you look closely there are a few ashes on the frosting from the SPARKLERS Jen bought, she could have sworn they said sparkler candles!!!

For Dave's Birthday we had the family over for a steak and crab dinner..YUM.

Winter in Evanston

Yes, winter was out of control everywhere this year, but, Wow! What a year to move to Evanston. I was broken in fast.

Don't forget to shovel the deck! The snow on ours didn't melt until May, and even then we had to shovel some of it off. Winter is long and tough here. There was one random day in JUNE it snowed this year too!

Listen closely for the snorting.. she was strugglin'. Poor short, fat puppy got high-centered!

Vail Trip (Jan 2008)

We went to Vail, CO this winter with 3 other couples. We boarded for a few days and the girls went to the spa one day. The resort was very pretty but a little hard to get around cuz it was so big. I, of course, made a big scene...I might have fallen down when trying to get on (not off) the lift and a mean, old ski instructor lady yelled at me in front of the huge line of people because we were snowboarders and we were holding up the line! I was almost in tears but Dave and the others just about punched her out! Now looking back, it was pretty damn funny.

We had a lot of fun. It's somewhere we have always wanted to go snowboarding, we're so glad we got to go.

Christmas 2007

Our first Christmas together.

We all got our nephew Dillon a 4-wheeler. He was way excited, but he would only ride it if someone else was on with him. He was a little nervous by himself. I'm sure by next year he will be hot roddin' it!

I got some of Dave's jobs he has done framed for his office.
They look pretty cool when they're done..cuz he's so good!

Dave's fam over for Christmas Eve dinner.

PJ's with Maggie on them!
Dave's Aunt Beth gave him this remote control hummer.
Maggie hated it!

Our Honeymoon

We went to a little private Villa in Pie de la Cuesta, Mexico. We actually went with Clint and Jamie (my brother and wife)! Weird, I know, but it was really fun. Clint knows the people who own the place and he was buddies with Darrin Shapiro (a pro wakeboarder) who was going to be there at the same time, so we thought it would be awesome...get some lessons and hang. Well, turned out we had a blast with everyone BUT Darrin. He's was a punk! The picture above is the group: Clint, Jamie, Bridget and (who own it), their son Matt, Fernando (wakeboard/ski instructor), and Darrin.
Sooooo relaxing......

The view from the Villa. It had a couple pools and beautiful grounds and beach.
Early in the mornings we could watch the dolphins and manarays playing in the waves!

Accross the street from the Villa was a lake where we wakeboarded.. The best of both worlds!

This was a monumental moment for my new husband. His ONE phobia in this world--SHARKS!
He is very cautious when he goes to the ocean, but this trip he body surfed and played in the ocean with no fear! He got pretty far out there too!

Dave loved swimming with the puppies :)

This was a little island we went to. Some of the natives cooked us lunch. It was yummy.

And we got to go horseback riding on the beach. I've always wanted to do this! It was great!
